PTI September Blog Hop

"One of the most fun things about this hobby is the people you meet, whether in person or online, and the things you can learn from them. Now is your chance to show off any skills you might have learned from a fellow stamper, and perhaps even give them a little shout out to thank them for the inspiration they have provided. Create a project using one of your favorite learned skills and perhaps after a little blog hopping, we will ALL learn some new tips and tricks and continue to pass on the love of this hobby!"

This is my first blog hop and I couldn't be more excited to share a couple of things I have recently discovered! I want to give a shout out to Laurie, whose work I am always amazed by, and through her, Dana, for the beautiful flower on my card. I first saw a similar flower on a card of Laurie's, who linked back to a tutorial Dana had done on her blog.

They are both such a source of inspiration, and I hope I can grow into my card creativity as beautifully as these two ladies!!! :)

Thanks for hopping by!

A First Step

A few months ago, I took the plunge and decided to submit for a PaperCrafts call for cards. It took some work, but I was so happy with the final result and excited to send it along for consideration. Even though it wasn't picked up, I think I'll try my hand at future submissions because it was kind of fun to make a creation all on my own!

See you soon!

Wedding Card

My cousin recently got married and I decided to try out Betsy Veldman's felt flowers made from the rick rack die on his wedding card. These flowers really are a cinch to make and look so pretty as my focal point. I also fell in love with Nichole's example of using white ink on dark paper that was impressed with a plate. The gray-blue color almost matched the bridesmaids dresses, so that was a fun detail I was able to include. I was so honored when his new wife told me how she was going to keep my card for her wedding scrapbook to remember their special day!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Little Birthdays

I saw a similar card on one of the PTI forums with the tiny line of images and it was so cute, I knew I could create it into a card for my little niece's birthday. I'm so sorry to the original creator, but I can't for the life of me remember who you are to give you credit! :)
